There were some exciting turkey scientists at Fritsch Elementary School in Carson City this morning as kindergarten students donned sterile gowns and explored the anatomy of the beloved bird. The young scholars also calculated diagrams and created turkey traps as they prepare for Thanksgiving next week.
Additionally, students crafted paper dials with numbered feathers to practice their math skills and experienced a sensory paper-tearing art project to strengthen fine motor skills, which helps improve handwriting.
Reminder, there is no school NEXT WEEK, Monday, Nov. 20 to Friday, Nov. 24, for Thanksgiving Break in Carson City.
