School Safety Information

Dear Fritsch Parents,

The well-being of your child is very important to us, so every year, we re-evaluate our Fritsch safety plan and look at ways we can improve the security of our buildings.  An area of concern for us is when we have visitors on campus and do not always know their whereabouts.  As a way to manage our campus visitors, we will now require any visitors to remain in the office while your child is called from their classroom. If you are a classroom volunteer, you must complete a volunteer application along with being fingerprinted with the school district.  We will ask our staff members to notify the office when they have a volunteer coming to work in the classroom.  We understand this might be an inconvenience for you and in no way are we trying to take you away from the wonderful educational experience your child is having at Fritsch. Our mission is to keep your child safe and that is our number one goal.

We appreciate your understanding.

Mr. Dan Brown

Principal Fritsch Elementary School

As we begin the month of October, we are all getting back into our school routines and the students now know and understand the expectations we have to help them be successful. A message we like to share with the students is they have a job to do just like adults, and that is being an excellent student. Staying focused and doing their schoolwork is so important. Please help us promote this message and ask your child if they did their job today. We are already winding down the first quarter and looking forward to parent conferences coming up Oct. 31, Nov 1, and Nov. 2. Please keep an eye out for an invitation from your child’s teacher, and we look forward to seeing you on one of these dates. In order to ensure that you have a successful meeting with your child’s teacher, please come prepared with any questions you may have. It is helpful if you email or share on Class Dojo these questions prior to your meeting, so the teacher can be prepared with the proper data. Remember, we are here to help you. If there are things that you do not understand about the homework or classroom procedures, please do not hesitate to ask. We want to empower you as a parent and assist you in any way we can.

During the week of Oct. 2nd through Oct. 5th, Fritsch participated in a Week of Respect. During the week, the students completed different activities that helped them understand how to be respectful, kind, and empathetic towards others. Thank you to all who helped organize as well as those who participated in our events.

We would like to thank our PTA for organizing the Shero’s and Hero’s breakfast to be held on Oct. 12th. Our PTA is very active and is always looking for families to get involved. Please become a member. Your dues are return to you in many ways, from refreshments during our Family Engagement Nights, equipment for our school, and as a voice in our community. The cost is $6 for an individual membership or $10 for a family. There are membership envelopes and a drop box in the office.

Finally, we appreciate you working along with us to keep our campus safe. Thank you for checking in and out with the office when you are on campus. We are still trying to keep our parent pick up area safe as well. We have many parents that want to park in front of the B Building parking lot and get their students. If you are doing this, you will have to wait for the buses to leave before exiting the parking lot. Try using the parent pick up area, it is much faster and convenient. If parents remain in their cars and pull forward in line, we can move traffic in a speedy and efficient manner.  We usually have all of our students picked up before the buses leave!

Bob Beauprez, once stated that “education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents, with high expectations,” and that is why we are here creating the opportunities for success. Thank you for your commitment!

Enjoy the beautiful fall colors,

Mr. Brown and Mr. Farnworth
